Ringworm Fights for Title
Tony “The Ringworm” Ritter (right) will fight for the Heat Events Advanced
Amateur Light Heavyweight Title at Bud Light’s Winter Heat. Ritter has amassed a record of 5-1 during his amateur career.
Hometown favorite, Ritter, will face Hamza Abdul-Mutalib from Atlanta in this match. SEE VIDEO BELOW. His opponent is undefeated with a record of 3-0. His opponent, below, is very good at striking and wrestling.
This match will fall under the Georgia Athletic and Entertainment

Commission’s Advanced Amateur rules. Under this set of rules, amateur fighters are allowed to strike the head of a grounded (laying on the mat) opponent. They are allowed to use the padded portion of their gloves to strike with while the opponent is grounded. Unlike the professional fighters, they may not strike with elbows or forearms.
While Hamza’s record shows 3-0, he comments on one of these interviews that he has actually had at least 5 fights. Perhaps he has fought in some unsanctioned or unreported states, like Alabama.
