Dicky Willson to Make Pro Debut
Dicky Willson is set to make his professional debut as a mixed martial arts
fighter at Bud Light’s Winter Heat.
Willson will be facing Josh Montoro of Jacksonville at Winter Heat. Montoro will also be making his professional mixed martial arts debut, however, Montoro has a professional kickboxing record of 4-0. His amateur MMA record is 1-1 with an amateur kickboxing record of 10-1.
Willson last fought in the Valdosta area at Winter Heat 2008. He defeated Jacob Adams of Douglas for the Heat Events Mid-Heavy Amateur Title belt. He defeated Adams early in the first round with a barrage of punches. The win officially came by a TKO via Referee Stoppage.
The debut match at Bud Light’s Winter Heat for Willson and Montoro will be three rounds in length. The rounds will each be five minutes long.
Professional mixed martial arts fighters have longer rounds to fight than amateurs. They can use a greater variety of submissions. Also, they may strike with the elbow.
