Congratulations to Sensei Joel Weldon

December 15, 2007 by Sensei

Joel Weldon earned his first degree black belt in MSC Kickboxing today at Valdosta Martial Arts Center.  Sensei Weldon has been a fixture at VMAC for the past eight years.  He missed his initial test date a year ago due to illness.  Today, he was tested on cognitive knowledge of the martial arts, katas, physical endurance, strength, and sparring ability.  A well respected instructor at VMAC and seasoned kickboxer and MMA fighter, the black belt examination was more of a formality, said James Corbett, VMAC Head Instructor.  Also participating in the test were Sensei Josh Jennings and Sensei Bobby Tyler.  Congratulations again and much respect to Sensei Weldon!
