Naville and Chism Win in Pensacola

December 9, 2007 by Sensei

Last night (December 8th), two Team VMAC fighters were victorious in the cage in Pensacola, Florida.

Kamrin Naville defeated American Top Team member, Sean Jolicouer.  After Kam landed a large overhand right, Jolicouer took him down.  Kam fought off the bottom well until he reversed Jolicouer into side mount.  Kam delivered some nasty ground and pound, including a 2″ cut on Jolicouer’s eye, until Jolicouer rolled over and Kam took his back and choked him out.

Brett Chism fought Chris Hugg, a police officer from Michigan.  Early on Chism took a hard punch from Hugg and then Chism shut down Hugg’s takedown game entirely.  In between, Chism delivered a lot of punishment standing.  The second round saw much of the same until Chism took Hugg down.  Hugg went for a leg lock and Chism stalemated him.  Seeing an opening, Chism landed a hard punch at which time Hugg tapped out.  It was 4:59 in the second round.

The event was X-treme Cage Fighting Championships.  Shaun Gay’s match was canceled.  Thanks to Cam McHargue for making the trip to take care of the guys in the corner!
