VMAC Results From Last Night

VMAC fighters came away with some good performances from last night’s events.  Fighting in “Southern Rage” in Douglas, Georgia, were Chris Patton, Kamrin Naville, and Nathan Barnes.  Brett Chism fought in Louisana in the “Battle Cage 360″ event.  Follows are some details.

Chris – After Chris exchanged punches with his opponent, his opponent decided he wanted to take it to the ground, which Chris quickly reversed.  Chris was then armbarred after a valiant struggle to escape the submission.  Chris looked very good in his performance!

Kamrin – For the first two rounds, Kamrin put on a takedown and control clinic as his opponent spent more time in the air thanks to Naville Airlines (lol) than he did standing.  Kamrin administered some vicious ground and pound while controlling his opponent on the ground.  At the beginning of the third round, Kam’s opponent took his back and administered a rear naked choke for the win.  The crowd in Douglas loved Kam’s performance and wants him back again soon!

Nathan – Nathan quickly took his opponent down and worked to pass the guard while delivering some ground and pound.  As Nate stood to pass the guard, his opponent attempted a leg submission, which correctly Nate spun to avoid.  Unfortunately, his arm became entangled in a quasi-omo plata which kept Nate from achieving a superior position from the spin.  Nate’s opponent then caught him with a rear naked choke.  Nate fought the choke valiantly and refused to tap.  What a warrior!  The referee stopped the match without Nate tapping.

Brett – Brett called us as we were leaving Douglas.  He won via unaminous decision.  He totally contolled the match and struck his opponent so much that he bruised his knuckles, also landing several head kicks.  Congratulations, Brett.

Casey Pintar – Casey is a former VMAC member who still works with us whenever he can.  Casey fought last night in Dalton.  He called and said that he immediately knocked down his opponent with a punch and then won by rear naked choke.  Congrats, Casey!
