McCarthy to Fight for Heat Title

Fan Favorite Kelly McCarthy is returning to the cage on at Bud Light’stitle belt Summer Heat.  McCarthy will be fighting for the Heat Promotions Super Lightweight title.

McCarthy will be facing Jake Brinson of Douglas (0-1).  The scrappy Brinson trains under professional fighter Mike Adams.  Brinson was on his way to winning his debut match when his ankle broke and he could not continue.  Brinson is a strong wrestler and has been training to fight longer than his opponent for Summer Heat.kelly kick

McCarthy’s last match was at Bud Light’s Winter Heat 2010.  McCarthy defeated Lee Hendrix by triangle choke submission.

McCarthy recently graduated from Valdosta High School.  He is currently enrolled at Wiregrass Technical College where he is studying firefighting.
