VMAC Team Takes 1st at BJJ Open

A Valdosta Martial Arts Center team took first place in the team no gi championship at the Third Annual Casca Grossa BJJ Open this past Saturday.  At this event in Jacksonville, FL, there were twelve other schools in attendance including Alliance BJJ and Gracie Barra.

Individual results include:  Savannah Stacks, 3rd place; Eric Farmer, 1st place no gi, George Hearn, 1st place no gi and second place gi – light heavy weight;  Scott ?, 2nd place teen class; Phillip Boyd – 3rd place no gi light weight; Brent Johnson – 1st place no gi and 3rd place gi heavyweight.  Also competing was John Ducas.
